Are you driving a future classic....today

Today I thought to myself, with all the mundane, watered down, cookie cutter mass production cars rolling down the highway.. What will happen to our classics? What cars built in the last 5 years will be sold at an auction in 2050 for $1.5M?
Will it still be the classics of today, just at a much higher price? Or will we evolve? Will it be a 2008 Mini Cooper, or a 2006 BMW M Roadster.. no one knows, but I for one hope we hold true to our history... That only the best, brightest, and unique cars of the era, live on.
